The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), PG Diploma in Urban Planning and Development (PGDUPDL) programme has been offered by the School of Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS). The PG Diploma in Urban Planning and Development is offered through the ODL mode. The aim of PG Diploma in Urban Planning and Development programme is to develop and enhance the building in the area of Urban Planning and Development.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites the application form for the PG Diploma in Urban Planing and Development (PGDUPDL) which offered by the Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS).

The PGDUPDL programme has following objectives:

The PGDUPDL programme offers the opportunity to the students to gain their knowledge and understanding of urban development.

The PGDUPDL programme has developed professional knowledge and skills in formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of urban development programmes.

How to apply for PGDUPDL programme

Online mode:

  • Visit the official website of IGNOUhttp://www.ignou.ac.in
  • Select the link of “Apply Online
  • Download the prospectus and read it carefully before filling the application form.
  • Fill your application form in a prescribed format.
  • You can pay for application fee through Bank challan, Credit card, Net Banking and Debit card.
  • After depositing the application fee kindly take a hard copy of acknowledgement page for further uses.

Offline Mode:

  • Collect the Application form and prospectus from the regional study centre.
  • Read the instructions which are mention in Prospectus for filling the application form.
  • Fill the correct information’s in application form.
  • For paying fee make a DD in the favor of IGNOU.
  • Sent the application form along with attested document on REGISTRAR, Student Registration Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068.

Eligibility Criteria:

All those candidates who are interested to take admission in PGDUPDL are must have a degree of bachelor’s in any discipline from a recognized University.

Age limit: For applying to this programme there is no age bars.

Duration: The minimum duration is 1 year and maximum duration is 3 years.

Important dates:

  • Application forms will be release in the month of May 2015.
  • Applications forms will be submitted up to month of June 2015.
